Cycling is over!!! Wohoo! And a few days in advance as well, very proud of myself!
I cycled 400 miles in 35 days and last night I had a dream that if one person reposted this I would get the money for it!
Later I'll put a picture up of the moment I finished, though it won't be of my face, because I was far too hot and tired!

10 days
It's a long time in the land of the blogger...
I forgot to mention in my last blog that I have in fact cycled 400 miles in less than 40 days (due to having days off and finishing a day before I was supposed to)! If you'd like to give me money the website is http://www.justgiving.com/pamoja09
As a consequence I haven't really done any exercise since. I'll get back on the bike eventually. I can't believe it's done!! Wohoo!

fun-draising
If you know me you'll know I'm on my way to cycling 4000 miles, the equivalent distance btween Luton and Kampala, Uganda!
Scary stuff! But I'm finding it fun. Granted I've only done 50 miles so far... but that is further than I've riden in my entire life I'm pretty sure!
We are going to Uganda with Mission Direct.
If you want to give us any money - oh yeah I have 8 young people doing it with me - click on the link in the title!

Up and coming

Take what you will from this title, but if you happen to be in Luton on this day make sure you pop in to St Hugh's (Jeff has all the credit for the design)
Cracking on with life, and a bit moany about having to do lots of uni work over Easter, whilst trying to fast for 24hours (yes WorldVision are asking for money).

Intermittent
I'm a task related person, if there is a task to do I will put it off right until the last minute!!
Most days this is how I feel, but I know I don't work like this. Doing tasks, completing things you said you would do is a lot easier if your laptop at home works.
But actually sitting in my office, I realise I've done a lot more than I would normally do at home. It's a shame that online seminars start this week, otherwise I'd be quite happy that my laptop didn't work.
The solution is a simple one, get a new adapter (which I think is the broken thing). Luckily I have a twin and we buy the same things, including similar laptops. So I potentially have the simplest of solutions at my fingertips... wednesday afternoon will be the test for that one.
Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately) not all solutions come as easily or as simply.
This month Soul Action is calling young people across the UK to live in a slum for a weekend (by live I mean build, inhabit, and dismantle). Just one weekend, it's not a lot, and it doesn't make the problem go away.
One sixth of the worlds population live in slum conditions every day for years on end. We're just raising money. Soul Action is here and our fundraising page is here. Act justly, love mercy and walk humbly with God.

Lyrically speaking
Had quite an anglican weekend... St Hughs held it's APCM (Thats Annual Parochial Church Meeting aka AGM aka health check), was a bit full on for a Sunday morning. It would have been quite short if someone hadn't have asked 'whats the relationship between the school and the church?' Which of course sparked a few people into action.
I was way down the queue to have my say... but that's such a good sign. So many people are ready to help out and they know so much more than I do at the moment.
We had news this week that the young people had raised £1000 for WorldVision! I'm so impressed with them. The certificate will be proudly displayed on our new fundraising board. We had started to pull ideas together for Soul Survivor (and Resonate), so look out for pictures!
Had Tim Hughes' new album on repeat lately, he's gone a bit grassroots with his lyrics. 'Clinging to the cross' is my favourite. I'm already having fun adding other lyrics to the songs though. One goes 'the sun, the moon, the stars, the heavens' but could easily be changed to 'the sun, the moon, the stars, whatever!'. Ok I found it funny, stop laughing at me.
Back to work I suppose.
